A Message from our Chapter President
Greetings,
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated was founded 112 years ago on January 13, 1913, by 22 young women studying at Howard University in Washington, DC. They sought to create an organization rooted in sisterhood, scholarship, service, and social action. Today, we have blossomed into more than what those 22 courageous women could have imagined, with over 350,000 initiated women and over 1,000 chapters located worldwide.
On behalf of the 200+ dedicated women of the Denver Alumnae Chapter (DAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., I welcome you to our official chapter website. We are delighted that you have taken a few moments to connect with us and learn more about DAC and our service to our community.
The Denver Alumnae Chapter was established as the Beta Phi Chapter on February 18, 1939. Our chapter has served the Denver community for 85 years, and we have made an indelible impact throughout our service area. We have implemented programs and projects in the Denver Metropolitan area supporting our organization’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust of:
- Economic Development
- Educational Development
- International Awareness and Involvement
- Political Awareness and Involvement
- Physical and Mental Health
I invite you to explore our website regularly to remain abreast of our events. Also, feel free to follow us on our social media pages on Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and YouTube.
In the spirit of Sisterhood and Service,
Alice Arline
