Denver Alumnae Chapter’s Educational Development programs are designed to empower learners of all ages with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed. With innovative teaching methods and a commitment to excellence, we aim to create a nurturing environment that fosters growth and inspires lifelong learning.
Our Youth Enrichment Programs, the Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy, the Dr. Jeanne L. Nobel Delta G.E.M.S. (Growing & Empowering Myself Successfully), and the E.M.B.O.D.I. (Empowering Males to Build Opportunities for Developing Independence) serve primarily Black girls and boys ages 11-18.
Our Scholarship Program continues the legacy of our Founders in supporting African American women in their pursuit of a college education. Denver Alumnae Scholarship awards range from a renewable $6,000 (awarded $1,500 per year over 4 years) to one-time $1,500.00 scholarships. Scholarships are awarded to students who seek to attend a 4-year university as well as community colleges or trade schools. Delta GEMS and EMBODI participants are also eligible to apply for scholarships in their senior year of high school.
